YYRRRM
YY = Year
RRR = Rank in Production
M = Model being reissued

034242
03 = 2003
424 = Production Number
2 = SG Standard

This one has the features of a 1963 SG Standard because of the small guard, Maestro Vibrola and Les Paul name on the TRC.

1961-63 SG Standards had Les Paul name on TRC.
1961-62 SG Standards had Sideways Vibrola.
1963-71 SG Standards had Maestro Vibrola.

Thanks, guys. So is it a ‘Historic’ level issue, or a regular issue patterned off a 1963 SG Standard?

This is a Custom Shop Historic reissue,.......... a USA version would have the standard serial method YdddYxxx with the made in USA stamp.

I’d never buy something with such horrible pictures (Im surprised Reverb didnt blocked the ad because of that). Ask for much better pics and detail shots, or run.

I'm not thinking of buying it, only trying to learn!
