I saw this video posted.........looks like early 80s? David Gold Flies on bass.
Check out Goldies bridge.........Even Dickey Betts was getting inspired by Eddie and the whammy bar............locking nut too! On a vintage LP!

That poor LP.

I preferred EVH when he just had the Fender trem or used a hard tail Gibson or Ibanez.

Dickey was still a young-ish, vital player in those days.
EVH had the best tone with that Ibanez.

Wow! I've never seen him play that guitar before. I was never a fan of Goldflies for some reason.

If it's any consolation, the only scars left behind we're the screw holes for the behind the nut string lock. The tremolo was a Washburn Wonderbar...no wood routing.

I suppose if you are going to be Dickey's guitar, you'd better have some stories to tell. :yesway:

My dad grew up with Dan Toler and his brother Dave. They were in a band together before the Toler's joined the ABB.

It ain’t a stretch to think a warrants check and a good pat down would prevent that show from taking place. But, by golly, they didn’t wear skinny jeans and man buns.
