I thought Germany dominated the game but essentially in the end lost because they could not get the ball in the goal. France played well and towards the latter part of the second half they were on top if you ask me. I thought Germany played well and France deserved to win. Although I wanted our team to win (duh!), I'm happy for France! Now the boys can come home and crack open a well-deserved beer.

France is a great country, they hosted a great tournament, and they are an awesome team. What's not to like?

I don't like Ronaldo too much, but this is sad!
He brought Portugal in the Final, now that.
Hope he recovers soon.

Even if I am French and supporting my team, I think too that it is a shame for the game that Ronaldo is out for injury.

I hope it is not too serious.

Still, Portugal is dangerous in front of our goalkeeper.

Still: "allez les Bleus!"

Can't believe how risk averse France is? Like now when Coman (a breath of fresh air btw) went for the run now, there were NO french players in the box. Do they want to end this in a penalty shootout?

Generally I think it has been a poor tournament, memorable largely because of the likes of Iceland and the other smaller nations.

Tell that to the Portugese...

What is to be remember is that there are no small nations in football anymore.

The only poor moment I recall was England Vs Russia... not to be remembered...

Apparently, 12 years later since the Portoguese lost the Euro final in their own country from us Greeks, the Gods had something to give back to them...!!!

Congrats to Santos (who remembered his friends in Greece even in his moment of glory), to Ronaldo, to Pepe, to Elder (incredible goal!), to Rui Patricio (what a keeper!), to every single one of our Portuguese friends!

BTW, what a freeking shame that deliberate hit to Ronaldo by Paget... I would like to think that this was not a planned move by the French team, although it sure looked that way...

Congrats Portugal!

Yep, even being French, I'm happy Portugal won (that will teach us some humility, the supporters were starting to be arrogant, and some "news outlets" were already writing: "when France will raise the cup up" :laugh2:). At least, the team reached the final round (Ok, I'll admit that I'm a little gutted that they beat Germany, and lost to Portugal, winning when nobody expects it, and losing when nobody expects it either :D).

Now I'm waiting to see who the French media are going to put the blame on, forgetting how far this team has come.

This tournament was full of surprises, plus we got to hang out with the Irish supporters a.k.a. best people ever :D!
