Hi folks,

Has ESP ever made a Les Paul?
If yes, what's the model(s) and what's the make year(s)?

Please note
1) I mean ESP, exactly ESP itself, not its sub brand Navigator, Edwards, Grassroots or LTD.
2) I mean Les Paul, not any other similar single cut series such as Eclipse.

Thank you.

There are LP shaped objects branded as ESP, but that's all I know about them. I see them from time to time on the auctions in Japan.

ESP's LP styled guitar is called the Eclipse. They also have another brand called Edwards that makes a model that looks closer to a traditional LP.

I think I know what OP is talking about.
I've heard of limited ESP Les Pauls during late 80s/early 90s.
They were made strictly for the Japanese market.

Melvin of NOFX has been playing them for decades.
But that's all I know and I can't tell how much of that really checks out.
(Sorry the dude is always shirtless).

The ESP Eclipse is the closest production model they make. As far as the more traditional Les Paul shapes, unless it is a 100% custom order through their Custom Shop, you would be looking at an Edwards model which are not currently imported into the US due to copyright reasons. The only ESP models that are a true Les Paul shape are custom orders and that has always been the case AFAIK.

Yes. I've seen specials and regular LPs. They usually go for much more than Edwards, more like Navigator territory. Eclipse is merely a nod towards LP shape, nothing more.

There was one up for sale local here a short while ago. I guess it sold as the add is gone, was a 4 knob with the Gibson headstock.

There are many artist models that are Les Paul and Les Paul Jr.
Headstock shape and pickup configurations vary.

Some are designated NLP models or hgave LP in the model name with ESP logo on the headstock.

Yes, there are some rare examples of LPs with ESP on the headstock. They would likely be custom orders:

Thank you. That's exactly what I was talking about. I saw a traditional Les Paul with openbook headstock under ESP brand once on Reverb and it was gone immediately. So I want to confirm... And I really wish to have the luck to get one :D

Unless it was a really inexpensive deal, I would go for a Navigator. They are consistently amazing guitars.
