Just ordered a new ES 339 P90 Pro (like the photo below) and case. What are your opinions on them? Actually don't know if I like the neck profile ' but, I like the guitar itself. Had store credit and they couldn't get me a Nighthawk which I was not sure about either, but, wanted to try.

Nice guitar, I wouldn't mind having one. What don't you like about the neck profile?

im a fan of the 339. I would say the weak spot is the wiring. I have played tons of 339s and they were all pretty consistant. one thing I dont like about the epiphones is they feel really light. my gibson 339 has a nicer weight to it. it feels more solid.

Profile seemed a bit wide and thin. Didn't get any time to do any real playing on one. I'll give it time. Light weight is good for me. Back and neck problems. That's what I get for getting old! Rewiring is no problem. Have rewired or modded most, if not all' my guitars.

I have one and love it. It is lightly built which is a good thing- it really resonates when played. It's not so lightly built that it's going to collapse in your hands. Stock P90s are OK.

IMO the flaw in it is the lack of room for fretting hand in the smaller cutaway. I try to just stay away from that area on the guitar. It's not specific to the Epi P90 Pro iteration- it's every 339, but I still love them a great deal.

Have the exact one.
I think you’ll be very pleased.
Crazy good bang for the buck.
Besides bang for the buck, it’s just a nice piece.

I have one also. Great guitar, P90's are good also. My pickup selector switch is getting a little touchy, may have a wiring change coming at some point.

Love mine - the P90s are powerful and have a distinctive sound - mine came from GC online a couple years ago and was in really good shape upon arrival. Maybe I was lucky, but I've been quite pleased - sound and feel (and look - mine is sunburst) are great, even a bit surprising given the price.

I own one of these. I know what you mean about the weight - feels oddly light. That said, it still plays well, sounds great with the P-90’s and seems to stay in tune pretty well. It just takes a bit of time to get used to.

I also have an old Japanese Norma Bernie Kessel knockoff that also feels oddly light, but sounds pretty cool and plays well. Not sure how they pull it off, but it works.

Always like me the look of these - the soap bar pickups seem to balance much better with the smaller body vs the dog ears in the Casino Coupe.

Would worry about neck profile myself - I like a chunky neck and Epis always seem to have the ubiquitous “slim taper” profile.

The nicest semi-hollow bodies that I've played have always been the lighter ones. Those were usually the Gibsons. So the lighter weight of my Epi was part of the reason I got it. I had to have the P90s and the wine red is just beautiful. Have fun !!

I have a 339 Black Royale, a 339 Ultra and a 339 P90 Pro, guess you could say I don't have a problem with them. They are a great Blues and Blues/Rock machine and good for anything else you can think of.

The neck on mine is a just slightly heftier than the one on my Les Paul, but it was very easy to adapt to.
