I just picked up this 2015 ES-335 Custom Shop and I am wondering if this silverburst was a limited run version. From what I have read these paint jobs are rare for these guitars. Also looking to put a dollar value to it. I may want to trade it for a LP standard in the future and don't want to be lost in placing a value on if I decide to go that route.

Nice, congrats. You don't see 335's in that finish every day

Not sure I quite follow though... if you've done your homework on it and just bought it surely you'd know what the value on it is otherwise you wouldn't have bought it. Or are you just trying to find out what you could potentially get for it if you flip it now?

I certainly don't think that finish adds any additional value. You may find it even harder to sell with that finish. JMHO.

335s are not particularly easy to move, IME.

I see the 335 as being an instrument that needs to be a more classic finish. I have a 2015 in Cherry, but I wouldnt have been unhappy with the Sunburst finish either.

Its a nice looking guitar, but i think its more of a niche market with that finish rather than being a super desirable rarity.

It would not surprise me in the least if you run into a hard time unloading that.
