Power Slinkys are the only ones I'd put on my guitars. Love em, they're durable, sound great, and feel awesome.

OK, but not a patch on Vasco's choice of strings.

Ernie Balls are great, they´re the ones i always use unless unavailable.
I had a set of Blue Steel for 18months once, just to see how long it took me to break a string, never brooke one so got new ones.
I could however never get the Blue Steel to intonate properly.
Ernie Balls are the best so far for me, they intonate and has great tone, Blue Steel has amazing tone as well

I guess you don't wanna know how long I leave my strings on, then. :laugh2:
Hey, to each his own. Go ahead, confess. Father Sarducci's confessional is now open, pending donations.

That's crazytalk. Nothing like the metallic sound of fresh strings. :naughty:
Right on. And they keep that sound, given my skin Ph, humidity, etc. around a week to 10 days.

The professional guitarists I've seen live and had tone to die for all started each show with a fresh set. The last guy I saw, who played for Edgar Winter, put 'em on and stretched 'em while the band was being introduced. Dude's one of the best guitarists on national tour right now. If it works for him, it works for me.

Brb - gotta go change some strings. :)

Nickle 8s or Super Slinky 8s for me. I can't remember, but I think EBs are all I've used, besides the local made SITs, because they don't carry the nickle EBs at my local geetar store

rotosound yellows on my gibsons, reds on my fenders. Good and British

The other way round for me! :thumb:

Jason has really got the Rotosound quality right up there with the best!

I think the last set on my Tokai Standard was on there for about 8 months.
I changed it because I broke the first string in years (while playing).
It was the high E, during a full bend. I could hear the note go flat while bending and then....snap. :laugh2:

By the way, I use these.

Gee, I wonder why? :hmm:

Just to clarify, I'm talking elapsed playing time for the most part. I have five guitars in regular rotation, but tend to play one 90% of the time for weeks at a time. I don't install five sets every fortnight.

The '92 Standard is getting a new set tonight, because I plan on recording with it tonight and tomorrow.

Yeah, I figured that you were talking elapsed playing.

I have 6 electrics, but I hardly play the others since I have my Tokais.
I'm basically rotating two guitars. They get about equal playtime, especially since the Standard is tuned in E and the Custom in Eb.
Changing strings on 2 guitars, 2-4 times a month is just too expensive, especially since I've lost my job.

I'm seriously considering to sell my other 4 electrics, for quite some time.
If I sold them, I might be able to fund a nice '78-'82 Tokai LS80.
I've also thought about maybe getting a Gibson SG Standard instead, lately. :hmm:

Man, your right, I should support Made in the UK. Gonna get some.

Drude.....I tried a set years ago and they were like using barbed wire and so they were off my list.
My local store knows Jason How and he was telling them how he had installed new equipment and that quality was as good as anyone.

I tried a set and was blown away with how they felt and how they sounded.
I actually emailed Jason to say how much I liked them. I've been using them ever since they really are good! :thumb:

I use ernie ball's on all my guitars and bass. Regular slinky 10's on the LP's and super slinky 9's on the longer scale faster guitars. They almost bend with equal effort because of the scale length difference.

I use Beefy's on my Les Pauls. I need a music man guitar to go along with the strings!
