First snow of the year. Every winter, I get more and more tired of snow. It's all "pretty". Until you realize you're going to have to shovel it all off your sidewalks and driveway.

That's why I ended up in SoCal. My dad got tired of shovelling off tennis courts in the winter. :laugh2:

Yep, looks like we are doging the bullet being on the warmer side of Draco. My buddy is not so lucky down in Alabama with the tornadoes. I can deal with a Winter like we had last year honestly. It was in the 80s in February and March and I am in Connecticut

I figured that since we had another hurricane, it will throw the weather out of normal patterns again. The year before we had the first hurricane, I was shoveling 40" off the roof just about every week. Since the hurricanes, no snow or very little

I am good with that

I think there should be a Law that it can only snow on Christmas Eve and then it's gone the next day

Snow, finals over, good coffee, Adventure Time, this is a good morning even though I had to cancel a band practice 'cause the roads are totally screwed right now. And it's getting colder and freezing over... >.< Should be alright tomorrow though.

I heard on the news that commutes are taking so long, people have run out of gas. A Facebook friend said 1 mph on I-35.

How the...

It's probably all the people that drive with the gas light on, forgetting that their commute will take longer due to snow.

What I hate is all the trucks and SUVs that think they're immune to slick roads, because they have 4WD.

And you'll get behind me and be cursing because I drive real slow in snow, even in my FJ Cruiser. Then again, I drive real slow when it rains, too. :thumb:

I avoid driving in the snow entirely. People are idiots.

I've generally had little trouble in rain, so yes, that'd cause me to curse at you :laugh2:

Let me just add that I get the fug over in the right lane so people can speed on ahead and slide into whatever gets in their way. :thumb:

90% of poeple seem to fall into one of 2 camps when it starts to get snowy.

- Drive like nothing's wrong and look confused as they slide 10 feet into the intersection at a red light/into someone's (probably your) rear end.

- Drive like they're off-roading in Moab. Come on now, you aren't making the trip to the New Land in a Conestoga wagon, you can take that turn at faster than 2 mph

(needless to say, one of the few things that makes me very, genuinely mad is people who are careless/stupid drivers. I'm not saying i'm perfect, i make mistakes, but i don't ever drive like a complete idiot

Just do it smart, man...

I am driving on snow these days, don't confront me none...

I could complain about snow, but

a) It wouldn't do any good, and

b) Given the long-term drought out here, I'd be cutting off my nose to spite my face.

We don't count on rain. We count on high-country snowpack, and we've not been getting it.

I feel for anyone having to commute in it, especially in urban areas that rarely get it. But we'd take it in a heartbeat.
