Hello!
I am buying a new guitar (my first electric), and I am considering these two options:
EPIPHONE LP CUSTOM EB - Italian International Cyberstore
EPIPHONE LP STANDARD EB - Italian International Cyberstore ,
and I was wandering, if the first one is worth it's money? I have a budget limit around 600 EUR (that's about 800 USD), and I am not sure whether to spend more on a guitar or on an amp (I was told that Roland cube 30x and Vox vt30 are a good choice). If it helps, I play a lot of classic rock, blues and some jazz.
Thanks.

The differences are purely cosmetic. Save the money and go for the Standard.

I have one of each and the only diff is the binding and the inlays, all the new ones have the good tuners and the same pups. So looks is the diff, I think that the Custom looks better...some don't?
Or get the Standard and put the $$ on a small tube amp?

Well, I like the look of custom Epi better, but I don't think that that is worth around 150 EUR. If the quality is the same (well, if there aren't any drastic differences), I will go with the STD I guess. And buy a better amp, of course.

The Ultra II is one of the most expensive Epiphone Les Pauls currently made. Its body is carved hollow in construction phase, giving it a more acoustic-like tone. In addition to the regular humbucking pickups, the Ultra II has an active NanoMag pickup in the end of the fretboard. The reason it's not in the FAQ is probably that newbies seldom look at it due to its price.

Well, thanks for all the help guys, I think I will go with the regular STD. And I know that this is not the right forum nor the topic, but nevertheless... Considering the genres I play (rock, blues, some jazz), what amp would you recommend me, I would like to hear it esspecialy from those, that also have Epiphone (khm, that's a dumb one =)) and play these genres. I have up to 250 EUR (250 USD) for an amp.
Thanks.

I know. It doesn't really matter, maybe the prices in Germany are a bit higher because of the taxes, but that's it. And they are shipping to Slovenia, if you are pointing at that. But that doesn't really affect the quality of the guitars, does it? =) Anyways, still waiting for that answer.
