Hi, recently i bought a new les paul guitar and previous owner of this guitar , he told me about this guitar “ Epiphone Les Paul Std Korean 2004” but the serial number of this guitar is not the same as other models. Because serial number is on a sticker.

I believe Epiphone does that on refurbished or second guitars/ a second guitar is one with a small flaw caught by QC as the guitar goes through the factory .I belive you have a real Epi but im not an expert.

They did that on Korean Epis for a while. You're lucky it's still there.

Does it have a bottom winged truss rod cover ?
It'd be nice to see the rest of the guitar too :)

Hmmm, I'd hate to be right here, but certain signs point to a fake.

On the headstock:
- Dot on i too high on Epiphone logo
- Oversize tuner washers
- Les Paul font on TRC is too thick

Here's a real one to compare. Magnify it for the TRC font.

There's also the tail piece posts that have domed heads, instead of the Epiphone flat ones.

Knobs aren't properly aligned.

Ask paruwi, a member here, he's the expert on that.

İ got it. Other parts of this guitar seems to be original but im not sure.
Sorry, this seems to be a Fake,

Epi never used this type of serial stickers on Saein made guitars,
tuner washers too large
rounded studs

a pic of the opened control cavity might get us more signs

They never do. Either he believed it was authentic, or he knew it wasn’t. Either way he isn’t going to admit that.

But as all above have said, the signs are there.
