FWIW, I replaced the tuners on my Epi Classic with Grovers as soon as I could. It required a small amount of reaming with a drill bit on slow speed. It was easy and did not damage the finish near the holes at all. I've found it much easier to find quality tuners with an imperial (standard) size than the metrics.
