Hello,

I have a good possibility to buy LP Custom, but I am not sure about the history of this guitar (year and country of production).

Seller sent me the serial number: B 306 19668 but I did not find any information about this. When I replaced "B" by "8" then
The Guitar Dater Project showed me that guitar was made in Korea in June 1983. What do you think about this?

and my another question - what do you think about the humbucker - is only cover removed or is the humbucker replaced by another?

here are some pohotos:
Predam - Pre?ov, predám

thank you

Epiphone didn't make any LP's before 1989. "B" refers to Bohemia Musico, Czech Republic. Some of the best Epi's you can buy were made there. GDP is not always accurate when decoding S/N's. I'd guess June of 2003 (maybe '93) as the date of manufacture. If it's a good price I'd snap it up. I've no idea about the pup without a cover. Probably it has been removed.

That's right! I'm sure it's Bohemian made! My guess for the date woulb be '93! For the pickup cover ask the guy or if you buy it remove the cavity cover and post a photo! Good luck brother!

thank you guys for your posts :)
the guy who sells it told me, that he is not sure but this guitar could be carried from USA, so I do not know, because I live in Slovakia (next to Czech republic)
he also did not know about the pickup cover

AFAIK those Bohemian Epis were sold mostly locally here in Europe

Great video find, Pete! Never saw that one before.

If it's a Bohemia made guitar, it's definitely worth picking up.

I haven't seen enough Czech made Epis posted here to say whether it's normal or not. But I have never seen or heard of any fake Bohemia Epis. It's easy enough to determine once the guitar is in hand, just pull the neck pup and check the tenon which will be a long tenon with a hole in it.
