A lot of guitar for the money. Nice price with quality Gibby pickups and nice case too, even if one may or may not need to do some fret dressing and general set up tweaks upon buying one. It's also nice to see a another decent Gold Top LP version in the Epi line, for as long as this (ahem) limited edition run goes. It's got my attention, but I have other wants in the new gear department, then again maybe, if they aren't all sold out on pre order yet.Hmmmm.

Most right out of the box Gibsons I've run across need some minor fretwork and setup....some is personal taste, some is just mandatory.

I'm not a JB fan, but the specs are killer...really makes the slash models look like even bigger ripoffs. Whens the release date?

They just changed the date to: More expected Saturday, December 25, 2010 @ Same Day Music...

Well, I saved the link to American Musical to buy the guitar (Merry Christmas to ME! :naughty:)........I'm about 3 weeks out on the $$$.........so, as a consolation prize, I am downloading Bonamassa's Royal Albert Hall concert as I type this post.

I wonder what the inside color of the case is? I bought the 59 epiphone last year and it has the pink inside the case. I hate it but I realize that it was the style back then. Anyone know? Its exactly the same specs as the 59. I like it way more than the new Slash. thoughts?

that does not even match with the goldtop. I think they should do black or something. I think it is pretty sweet though. There are always ESP Edwards gold tops on ebay though. I could easily add the black accents. If Joe B really gets popular even the Epi's might be worth some coin someday.

they have a Joe B goldtop in my local L&M. 770 bucks candadian. The gold top looks very greenish, much more than my epi classic gt. I thought it was a greeen epi at first, till I got a closer look. Nice fat neck on it, seems nice, but I did not have a chance to plug it in.
