Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 'Lazarus' 59 Les Paul Standard Owners Thread

I love how mine plays and sounds but I will admit I wish I had been able to get the standard inlay version rather than the JB vanity inlay. I’ve played it on stage a couple times and the fretboard isnt as easy to play when running around in spot lights. I wish I could trade out for a trapezoid inlay version

It is different than all others I have seen, except the top and of course appointments.

The Fretboard, Headstock and Tuners are different.

Neck on body has trapezes, neck on headstock has squares.
Pink case fur ... yellow case fur.
Those two photos are from two different guitars.

I ran across this post in the Gibson FB page figured I would share it with you guys. Not sure of how truth full it is but here check it out.

" Two for Tuesday: Here are two of my Joe Bonamassa, Lazarus 1959 std limited editions. The one on the top or left is from the first batch which was made about the middle of May 2021. The other one is from the second batch which was made about the middle of July 2021. I hope to get at least one of the fourth batch which supposed reach stores by the end of November 2022..... Interesting side note: The third batch did not make spec. at the factory to be the Lazarus model, because many of the necks had short tenons and two or three piece necks instead of the specified long tenon and one piece necks..... so the third batch was rebranded as the 1959 Limited addition. these are speced the same as a Lazarus except the different neck, no c.o.a. , removal of the Bonamassa graphics on the case, and the addition of the metal limed edition switch cover plate."

This is what he replied when I asked him where he got his info in this mater ??

Richard Bradley I have been in every aspect of the Guitar industry for over 45 years.... so some info comes from nda connections and a lot of personal and costly personal recon/detective work.

Here is another reply he made on the LAZ/59 . I also included the guys name on thos reply.

Richard Bradley yes they made other slight changes for large chains and or distributers.... Guitar Center got a slightly oranged lemon burst.... and Sweetwater got a slighted cherry burst if I remember correctly.

Deffinetly interesting info....

Short Neck tenon would exempt them from being 59's or 50's Standards also .

Might be a new up & coming Limited Edition Traditional Pro V . Those seem to vary from each other .
