I'd prefer if it had the second pick up. I bet the price isn't any cheaper for not having it.

That would make it a different guitar. This thing is a carved Junior, a Junior has one pickup I suppose they could make a Carved Special. My guess is at some point they will offer a two P90 les Paul.

I was lucky enough to lust after this model and walk into a local shop and see it on the wall. I left with it immediately. It’s every bit as stunning in person. It’s got a few finish flaws but, it’s got heft, the neck is not your typical cheap import feel. The shop I got it at did a killer set up so not sure if it came to the shop this way. I’m so happy with this one, I’m half tempted to collect a few more Inspired by Gibsons... full sized pots, the P90 sounds good for what it is, but that’ll be swapped out at some point. OK, so the epi looks cool as, but what the heck is the gorgeous looking thing next to it showing it up.

The closest thing I’ve found so far is the 1955 Epiphone Custom spec wise. If you can find one, they are going used for around $1000.00 used. View attachment 536467
I guess the second pickup comes at a premium.

I have one of these and it's an absolute beast. be an interesting compare between the two once mine delivers.

They just need to re-release this 1956, but with the new headstock. I don’t know what they’re waiting for, it would sell big time.

Mine arrived last night after supper. I actually didn't unpack it until after midnight, so freaking busy. VOS finish. Neck is huge. Maybe bigger than the Joe B I had. Feels great. My hands are sore from moving so I'll have to see how they like it. It is a freaking cannon acoustically. The fret work feels great. I can't wait to hear it through an amp. Maybe later today, have to get the kitchen set up.

Somebody was complaining about the soft case. It seems quite sturdy to me and I think it will be serviceable indeed. I'll post pictures once I find the cable to connect my phone to the computer.

Beautiful. Never saw one of these in the shops either.
I have an Epi ‘59 Cherryburst on the way (Supposed to be here Tuesday), after that, I’m looking for one of these 1955 Customs. :hmm:
All the 2019 (and newer) Epiphones I’ve played are really astounding compared to the ones I’ve had and played in the past. I’m also thinking about one those 2021 Epi SG Traditional Pros too...

Yeah the case does the job well! I was surprised how vocal they are acoustically too.
Can’t wait to hear how you like it plugging in!!

Anyone else interested in this? I don't know if I'll get one as soon as they hit the stores but I'm certainly thinking about one.

So maybe I'm a heretic, but swap that P-90 for a Norlin/Epi Mini & re-string the bugger with 12-56s and you just may end up with a killer rhythm axe if you're lucky.

Seems to me they issue these specialty guitars occasionally to keep up interest.

I'm getting Signature guitar fatigue! Between Gibson and Epi they have put out quite a few now and no offense to Jared but some of these names aren't all that big.
