I should have my new Texan here any day now and I'll post a review.... Just joined this site.....I know its a LP site but I'm surprised there's no one on this thread who has the Texan by now. Anyone? Personally i didn't t think the extra $300 for the signature and case was worth it.

make sure you post it with all the details! Plenty of photos.

Easily doable. I have a three pickup Epiphone Custom also with the gold covers. I agree it would be very easy.

Take the pick guard off, add cream please crupper rings, remove the covers and add a cream toggle pokerchip for the toggle with a cream switch knob.

I agree, I got this with the signed COA .... I think it’s going to be like the Joe Bonamassa signed COA Green lesvppauk Ltd in 2015. You can’t find them now and when you do they’re very pricey.

Please do post a review when you get your Texan :) Been trying to find more details from actual owners. Good luck!

I have some interest in this guitar. Considering getting one, as I want a fatter neck. Currently only have a Prophecy GX and want something like a 59 neck.

I've read this whole post and other posts, and couldn't really find a verdict on it.

From the people who own it, do you consider it one of the best guitars you've bought. Is it one of the guitars that is a keeper?

Have no chance to play it, would have to buy it online if I wanted one, hence the question.

Thanks

The first one I got I returned as it didn’t play well because of a faulty truss rod that was too loose in the channel. The fretboard wasn’t the good wood and the fretscwere uneven. I returned it ....

The replacement is the best playing Epiphone I own and I own a dozen of them.

This answer probably doesn’t help you other than yes they’re great IF you get a good one. Buy one from somewhere that has no hassle returns. It was worth it because this guitar is excellent.

Thanks Les Paul John,

Not a big PF fan, but I think i'll take a stab at one of these while they're still available.

It seemed a lot of people turned their noses up at them because of the chambering/hollowness, etc, whatever you want to call it. But i'm not to fussed about that, if its a great playing guitar.

It sounds great ... I also have the Gibson one as stated earlier and a Billy Gibbons Custom Shop chambered. Chambered guitars sound great.

In regards to the Frampton Pro, does anyone know how to read the S.N. as to what number of run it is?

I don't think there is, I see no discernable pattern. As far as the signed COA versions the guitar is the same whether you get the signed or unsigned. The difference lies in getting a hard case and a signed COA rather than the guitar itself being limited to a certain number signed.

Supposedly there's 200 signed COAs and they're not numbered, mine wasn't numbered but did have the serial number of the guitar hand written in it along with the signature which is hand signed.

I'm going to buy another. Love the blending of the pickups along with the weight!

Yes, when you kick in the always on middle to about 2-3 to add on top of the neck or bridge those sweet singing overtones are exceptional.

So I bought one of these and it should arrive by the weekend. It was a toss up between this and the tribute, but the Frampton seemed a lot more exciting and its limited edition.

After reading this thread a few times I've seen a few people had issues with these.

I'm not an expert on guitars, but is there anything I should check when mine arrives, without pulling the whole thing apart, and not counting the cosmetic things I will be able to see upon opening it.

This might be a pointless exercise as they are most probably sold out, so a replacement may not be possible, but at least I'll know if I get a dud.

Anyway, this is my first new guitar, so let's say I am excited. I sold my 35 year old Rockwood LX250 to buy it.

Oh and I told myself, two guitars is all you ever need, right!!

I am sure most of you have heard the news that Peter Frampton is going out on a final tour this summer. Pre sales started on several shows a couple days ago. There is a meet and greet that includes a signed guitar. The price for seats, the guitar, meet and greet and some other things is $1000. Seems like a great deal. I just can't find exactly what the guitar is. Does anybody know? Thanks?
