Damn you Epiphone!

And a proper Ebony board...

Yeah, ebony... what a drag!
They're keeping all the good Richlite for the high end Custom's!
Bastards!

Oh... wait!
:eek2:

I just bought the Les Paul. Had a hard time deciding between it and the Texan but in the end had to go electric. Will be interesting to see how it compares to my Budokan and my Beano. When I was looking last night the new guitars were supposed to ship next week. Now it looks like they are delayed until around Halloween.

Ok, I have one of the 200 with the signed certificate and hard case reserved for me with Sweetwater.

You are correct though, the other 900 are the same as far as everyone knows, they just don't come with the signed certificate or hard case. So it's $300 dollars for basically the hard case and certificate. Still debating if that is worth it, but for just $300 more you get the 1 of 200 complete bundle.

The Epiphone website makes it clear. The 200 edition is hand signed on the certificate. The guitar itself has a facsimile signature...

Premium Hard Case, Epiphone StrapLocks, Hand Signed Certificate of Authenticity, Presentation Binder

Well when I get mine I will compare the signature to the things that Peter signed for me with me standing next to him.

BTW it looks like the Premium Edition of the Texan is selling fast. I can't find any online at the moment. Those guitars are supposed to ship next week.

The COA it’s pretty much identic to my 1955 Inspired Custom, signature is from the Epiphone president (and its printed):

Maybe he signed the photos on the left of the Coa.

.... and then they introduce a 2nd run after they sold all of the guitars from the original run :run:

Same as with Gibson, if they don’t use unique numeration (like from 1/200 to 200/200), its just bubbles. These “limited” are just test runs. If they see they do sell, they will do more, nobody will ever know how many they did, since there is not numeration. I dont know if they’ll be stamping that closed number in the back, but dont think so.
Marketing fluff. :)

That is a proper limited:
