This album came out in 1995, and I remember listening to it as a kid...its been over 15 years since I listened to it; and I realized I couldn't even appreciate the songs on it...this one is amazing

Robert Plant and Tori Amos...

Anyone else heard the album?

I'll see if I can round up some more songs from it.

Yeah, I got as a Christmas present in '95 or '96 and really liked it. Even Hootie and Duran Duran did well I thought. Never the Bride doing Goin to California and Big Todd doing Tangerine are my favorites. Those two performances sound like everybody's happy to be there doin' that. Robert Plant alwaya seems to give his originals new life when he covers them. I think he had a "thing" with Tori Amos and it sounds like it there. The whole album is very well done.

We played several cuts off of that on my station when it came out, didn't get very many requests but SoundScan showed it sold well locally.

IIRC, the 4-non blondes song, Misty Mountain Hop, was just the singer, Linda Perry with the Dave Navarro-era Red Hot Chili Peppers. I remember I liked the music, but no so much the vocals.
I know the Stone Temple Pilots acoustic Dancing Days seems to still get a fair amount of play.
I'm pretty sure I still have the CD somewhere.

I listened to it over and over for years, and I could never understand why noone else was as emphatuated as I was over it.

The whole thing is good. There is not a better tribute album in my opinion.

Yeah I'll have to see if I can find my copy. I remember liking the whole thing.
