Electro-Harmonix 12AY7

Just ordered one off fleabay to try in my Blackstar HT-5TH. It replaces the 12AX7 for more headroom before going into insane OD.

I didn't want to spend a lot on a tube until I decide I like it. So, I bought a cheap one.
Question: Will this cheap Electro-Harmonix give me the same or close sound to an expensive good quality one? It's a tenth of the cost of some others and I have no idea why or what the difference is. Is this brand (Electro-Harmonix) any good for anything or Is it junk?

They're fine.

The Electroharmonix 12AY7 is the only new production 12AY7 out there. It's this valve or vintage American ones. There's no European equivalent (ECC8? type).

But the good news is that the EH 12AY7 is good.
