I got barfed on.

Bled on.

Kinda sorta pissed on once.

I've literally waded through poo.

You didn't mention the best part... you spent an evening in the trunk :)

Sorry, didn't know there was an election until just now.

You guys even manage to string out a mod's page about not making election threads to 5 pages...funnyish. :D

Imagine if they served coffee and croissants in here.

America had their LT Dave. I already bled.

Then years later after the army I went and volunteered to put out their fires and stabilize drivers and passengers from rollover screw-ups on our local patch of America's highways.

I got barfed on.

Bled on.

Kinda sorta pissed on once.

I've literally waded through poo.

I've stumbled through some of the nastiest, filthiest trailer-trash hoarding messes to be believed. Amazing in what squalor people can live. Good for nothing lazy bums on the dole.

Most of my my medical aid calls were druggies and drunks looking for attention.

One local girl wandered into the firehouse, wanted me to "check out her bruise" on her boobs, lifted her shirt up. I said "looks okay to me".

That was cool.

But yeah, let someone else carry that ruck. I'm done.

Now go gemme a beer.

You have more than stood upright in the storm....

You deserve your nice quiet laid back life..... :thumb:

Well, it was a good thought...until I remembered you live smack dab in Skeeterville...

You've lived through worse... Wait... Yeah.... maybe.... tough call, I guess.... :D

There are other places one can discuss and bullsh*t about
politics. I appreciate the fact this is a banned subject.

I have been on other forums where politics is acceptable
and it is modded, but facts, if that's what you want to call
them, get thrown around as much as insults.

MLP would have to hire a hellava more mods if political
discussions were allowed.

I come here to relax, learn, and have fun. This is a haven from
the political BS that permeates my life some days.
Thanks to the mods and the owner for that small grace...

People..

Many are thrilled at the outcome.

Many are bitter and angry.

We all get this, both the elation and the bitterness.

It makes for BAD forum topics.

I don't want to see "almost political" threads that are end-runs around the rules. You are not fooling anyone.

So, let's take a tip from both the winner and the loser; handle it with grace, and recognize that any gloating or bitterness will be met with challenge. We will lose friends here. -Not acceptable discussion.

DON'T post about it.

Don't disguise a thread to be "not" about the election, but really is about the election.

We've been working on overdrive cleaning this place up on this matter. It simply does not belong here.

Help me out here, will you? Be a good guy, not a problem.

This thread really isn't that complicated, why are so many people failing at it?

you missed the point...the example i linked to is NOT a political forum. Yet there is a subforum for heated topics. And guess what...it works, and has worked for years. No animosity carried into other threads, because the members are responsible and mature enough to follow the guidelines.

Guess what...I have been a member here since 2011, and it works fine without one too. Hit FB if you want that crap. Plenty of it there. +1 on being glad there is not a hint of it here.

Discussing politics (or that other topic which shall remain nameless) works if both parties (no pun intended) are willing to entertain/consider the other point of view.

Considering that's not the case, things rapidly devolve into shouting matches and epithets hurling.
