I'd just like to add please, if you're going to voice an opinion

1. Dont do it here
2. PLEASE, do it lawfully and with some semblance of grace. For the first time in a LONG time last night I was genuinely frightened by protestors. I had to cross a street and there are THOUSANDS of you and y'all are NOT happy. I get it. I support it. Just please remain peaceful or lawful because this is beyond police departments level of capabilities. No one is going to like the national guard fixing this. It wont be pretty.

five people got shot at a protest here in seattle last night. dont know if it was related to anything but there is always danger in large crowds.

"Investigators said an argument took place outside the 7-Eleven and quickly escalated. It's believed the suspect walked away from a group of people, turned around, and fired at the crowd, according to police.

Additional police presence was already downtown for an unrelated anti-Trump rally, and crews were on the scene within one minute.

Seattle Police stressed the shooting was not at all connected to the anti-Trump rally.

Tone wood is nothing without tenon wood.

Tenon wood reverberates tone into the neck pickup cavity,
which resonates in turn through the wiring cavities into the bridge pickup cavity.
This "cathedral" effect reverberation is picked up by... you guessed it, the pickups,
which, as everyone knows, is where the tone is.

Oh wait, did I say tenon or pickups?
:hmm:

Oh yes, pickups transmit a tone selfie of the tenon thing reverberation.
Yeah, that must be it.
Well there you go.
Mystery solved.

This thread reminds me of an old Zen instructional koan... to wit:

An old master had a group of three he was attempting to lead in meditation. So he told the three that in order to silence their conscious mind, they first had STFU physically. He then imposed a rule of silence.

They were in the lotus position, seated on tatami mats. After a couple of hours, one of them began to squirm around and he said, "Damn, my ass is starting to hurt!"

The second one laughed and said, "Ha! I'm better than you... you broke the rule of silence!"

And the third one said, "Ha ha. I'm better than both of you guys!"

:laugh2:

America needs a Lt. Dave.

America had their LT Dave. I already bled.

Then years later after the army I went and volunteered to put out their fires and stabilize drivers and passengers from rollover screw-ups on our local patch of America's highways.

I got barfed on.

Bled on.

Kinda sorta pissed on once.

I've literally waded through poo.

I've stumbled through some of the nastiest, filthiest trailer-trash hoarding messes to be believed. Amazing in what squalor people can live. Good for nothing lazy bums on the dole.

Most of my my medical aid calls were druggies and drunks looking for attention.

One local girl wandered into the firehouse, wanted me to "check out her bruise" on her boobs, lifted her shirt up. I said "looks okay to me".

That was cool.

But yeah, let someone else carry that ruck. I'm done.

Now go gemme a beer.

I dig that you've been good to your country. You're a good guy and fair at that. :)

I meant that 'America needs a Lt. Dave' more in a metaphorical sense. Anger, finger-pointing, blame, shaming, misrepresenting the 'other', name-calling, false equivalency, etc. All the biggest part of the problem. Man there is a tough slug ahead.

But I do sincerely wish y'all the best for a fun and prosperous future-for all.
