.. The Egyptian military has always been the most stable organization in Egypt I think, I guess having all the weapons and troops loyal to their chain of command helps things. I think they refused orders from Mubarak a year ago to crush the protests then, then arrested him. I am not up on the history but I know the people have a respect for the military in Egypt.

From an American point of view, the actions of the Egyptian military are astounding, as they seem intelligent and secular.

That's the astounding part.

Egypt bought into the "arab spring" crap from our liar/jetsetter/celebrity/golfer/"wannabe pimp" in chief. The jetsetter/golfplayer backed this guy and sent a sh1t ton of OUR money over there so Morsi could set up shop and oust the last "gypsy" that GW and Slick Willie backed (that left office BILLIONS richer). This is another egg in the face for the US and another example of piss poor foriegn policy. I don't see our Nobel Peace Prize winner making any speaches now.. He's sitting comfortably on the fence, with his binky and his thumb in his mouth. Like he does on any other foriegn policy issue, besides HE (HIM HIMSELF like some diety) solely killing bin laden from a room 2000 miles away.

Believe it or not.. We have that sh1t here.. along with natural gas and coal. Despite the guys that want to marry a tree, we can produce fuel. The problem is when WE have an accident some people are programmed to instantly go into a frothing meltdown about environmental issues.. but it's PERFECTLY fine to fund warlords on the other side of the planet to abuse and kill those people so THEY can have a payday.

Fortunately I don't see a need for such a thing here in all seriousness. However, there does need to be some serious house cleaning in all of our government. Been that way for YEARS and seems to have gotten exponentially worse in the past decade.

I'm wondering if we will see a boiling point sooner or later. Maybe if Facebook goes away and Dancing with the Stars isn't on. Then maybe more people will pay attention.
