I have a Black Beauty Les Paul Custom from early '70s, 6 digit serial number, Gibson conformed me that the guitar was made between 1970/1972. Got it second hand, the pickups are Seymour Duncan 59/JB, and these sound good to me.

What were the original stock pickups for this guitar? Are today's Gibson Classic 57 similar to the original ones?
Thanx

They would be Pat# T Tops, and maybe if you put a short A5 mag those 75's it might get close.
Or Brandonwound makes a clone set, (with T bobbins) highly recommend Jared's stuff, great pricing as well..

What's the first 3 digits of the SN#?
We can nail it down here for sure.

you can get a rough idea of the age from the code on the pots also if they are still original
