I have been wondering why there seems to be an absence of Dr Z Monza amp users here. The Monza is a Rock 'n' Roll BEAST. Many have called it the loudest 20 watt amp they have ever heard. It was so loud that the good Doc put in a post phase inverter master volume that tames it beautifully, but can be dialed out of the signal.
It truly can be used at home with very satisfying results and no external attenuation
I have pasted a link to a terrific (and effects-free) demo below. Although Dave Baker demos the 12" combo, it seems that many (myself included) seem to prefer the (original?) 10" combo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0rQlq1hcjY
It uses 2 EL84s, 12ax7 preamp tubes, and I can't remember the rectifier tube.
I've also read lots of pedal guys say pedals are unnecessary (for distortion).
I LOVE mine and highly recommend them (although they are not cheap)
