I still have a memory of being in a pet store as a kid and there was a monkey/chimp whatever it was in a cage at the back of the store. Anyhoo, I got my head too close to the cage and that damn thing reached thru the bars, grabbed a chunk of my hair, and proceeded to smash my noggin right into the cage. I was so freaking mad that that stupid monkey made a monkey out of me. That F'n thing was lucky I wasn't an adult or I would have bought his ass right then and there and brought him home to make monkey see monkey stew. I don't condone cruelty to animals but I would have made an exception for that rude little beast. Everything would have been on the table, water boarding, bamboo shoots under the fingernails, that knotted rope bit from Casino Royale, forced listening of the Chris Gains album (including the bonus tracks) all of it. And Bubbles, Albert, Koko, wherever you are, F*ck you too. Hooah!

I lived in the Philippines for two years, and learned to NOT mess with monkeys. That was awesome though.

There was a story here in LA a few years ago, about a couple who had raised a Chimp from an early age as a pet, but he became too much too handle (escapes, etc.). They put him in a sanctuary and when visiting one day, for whatever reason, some of the other Chimps saw the male as a threat. He's now without his face, testicles, etc. based on their attack. They know what to do and where to go...ouch...
