Man oh man am I hot :laugh2:

So I have been invested in the apple ecosphere for a few years now, having Iphones and Macbooks and an apple watch.

Well my apple watch glass popped, cracking around the entire perimeter after 8 months of ownership. So I had it sent in, under warranty after talking to a rep online. today They say it's not under warranty, and it 289 plus tax to fix... :wtf:

289 for a piece of glass?!? yeah, you can fuck right off apple...

Anywho... I guess I'm not a chick anymore :laugh2: please learn me in all things droid and PC!

My only Apple computers were some ancient Mac Plus units I played with in the early '00s. I converted one to a Pentium with a case window where the monitor was and toyed with converting two more into speaker cabs. But I trashed them, instead.

I have a click wheel iPod as my only Apple gear and I like it.

My original I pod has died this year after nearly 14 years of service... I loved that thing :sadwave:

I wish I'd bought another before they were discontinued but I put it off too long.

I have yet to research the cost of replacing the battery and/or hard drive in mine.

Apple: Cause the problem, sell the solution

I have talked to people that defended their new phone bending a few years back because it was their fault as the "phone was in their pocket". Not apples.

From that moment I understood how stupid apple fanbois really were.

I have an iPhone because all our stuff is apple. (Wife)
It’s fine.
I always thought the Apple Watch was a bridge too far. I already wear readers with my phone. A watch screen??
Pfft....
No.
I’ve had this phone for about two years :wow: and there’s a small crack in the screen protector, but otherwise it’s pretty immaculate and works fine.

sorry your watch broke.

This thread did make me chuckle a little bit though.

It does sound like they screwed you on the warranty.

Sony phones are rare, and I have to have steel cables to truss my balls up.

never did understand the 'square' watch.

I was pretty tempted by the Galaxy watch, but it's round and from a foot away looks like a regular watch. I'm still tempted by it but it's years old now,..maybe when they release a new one I'll look again.

But the Apple watch being square just looks so weird to me.

...plus it's the watch my baby sister wears. :laugh2:

My wife has been wanting one with cell and GPS. I just can’t justify the cost since she already had 2 iPhones.

The scary thing is why did the glass pop out? The battery expanded forcing the glass out? With all the issues with batteries spontaneously combusting, you’d figure they’d just fix it under warranty. There may be a lawsuit. :dunno:

There are videos on YouTube for replacing the battery and the glass if you want to tinker. Or you could sell it and let someone else fix it.

I’m having it sent back to me, plan to fix it myself. But moving forward I’ll wear a normal watch, and when my 6s bites the dust, im going droid. MacBook will eventually be replaced as well, though it’s going strong... but god damnit I vote with my dollar! :laugh2: so they are out for good.

Samsung. Works all the time.

Have you ever owned their refrigerators & washer/dryers??? Utter fucking garbage.

Their LCD TV's? Complete shit.

I'm not an Apple fanboi (even though I am completely invested in their ecosystem), but compared to Samsung, Apple is rock solid. And, Apple has sucked balls since Steve died.

Sadly, I need to drop $3K on a new Macbook Pro, next month. <sigh>

If that was my watch, I would have bitched and bitched until they fixed it for free. But, I would have never bought such a stupid device in the first place (no disrespect to the OP).

A watch-phone? Really? Life is too short to wear cheap plastic watches - LOL
