I think that when Dolly asked to be removed from nomination (because she didn’t consider herself rock ‘n roll) and when the RNRHOF refused to remove her, she was only being “ladylike” in accepting her induction. Regardless of what genre of music she has done, she wants to behave as the nice person that she is. Actually, her first hit (Joline) could be played and sung as very “hard” rock. The RNRHOF has inducted some musicians and individuals who never recorded anything that could be done as rock. So she is closer to eligibility for induction there than many former inductees.

You're not wrong.
It is, at least in recent years, been more "pop hall of fame" than R&R HOF
Country performers have been included for many years, unless you consider Chet Atkins and Johnny Cash to be "Rock and Roll"
Dolly is just as deserving as they are.

So, since the "prestgious Hall of Fame" is now (and has been) anybody who ever got paid ten bucks for a Friday night gig after the football game, why aren't I nominated ?
'Cause you just can't wait in line, apparently!

And Arsenio Hall for his stellar contributions to the video...
Don't forget his contribution on the Paula Abdul video!
A few seconds at the least!

Hey, let's start a movement: Arsenio to the RRHOF !
:hmm:
No!
