the bridge doesn't even look like a dimarzio with their hex pole pieces...but it could be the pics and my vision

also, the ace frehley face looks kinda poor on the headstock, I'd doubt he'd be happy with that....also, what do I know? I texted him about it, asking why such a discount if they go for 4000? said he needs the money for a wedding and has lots of guitars, said thanks, will get back in touch when I have the money, which would be never, and he replied back he could hold it for me, which also rang bells....
I'm not interested in owning an ace with the lightning bolts, so I was never interested I just wanted to check if I was correct with my assumption

so if it's not a fake it must be a pretty good deal!

One of the signature features of the Ace Frehley Budokan is that it has a THREE-piece unmatched maple top, not a two-piece as this one does. It also has traditional block inlays - the original was a three-pickup Gibson Custom after all - and not the lame-looking lightning bolts on the illustrated guitar.

So this is definitely not "the expensive one" as promised in the ad, and I don't think it's a Gibson at all.

he doesn't say it's a budokan, he could claim it's one of those 300 but he doesn't either, I hope no one buys this if it's a fake

BIG red flag - advert says the serial number gives a date of 19th July... that's day 200 and a favorite for chinese fake serial numbers (I don't know why...)

If anyone wants to check out 02005594 with gibson, help yourself....

edit for afterthought - if it's "the expensive one" what's it doing with a USA production serial number anyway?

Headstock should look like this (Nibs included)

Gibson-Ace-Frehley-Les-Paul-Electric-Guitar.jpg

Gibson logo is wrong and in wrong place, colour is wrong on face artwork eye, TRC logo is upside down, headstock is wrong shape, nut is wrong, face logo finishes on tuner peg, which is incorrect, no nibs etc., etc.

Body like this:

Body isn't a whole lot better. Check out the hideous flash fingerboard inlays!!!!

I like the way the words " Les Paul" are upside down on the Trc. :)

The fact that he included information provided by the GDP, should have been the first, obvious clue?
