After looking at the pictures in more detail, I don't think this guitar is even a Custom Shop reissue from any year. Headstock "Gibson" logo is wrong, back color of guitar is wrong, not a 2009 with the mother of pearl fingerboard inlays, and not a 1999 either so maybe a re-applied serial number, '80's looking wide fret wire, brown case is from the '80's so possibly some kind of '80's reissue.
Right and I can put a bogus serial number on any guitar also. There is no case candy or documentation included but one quick phone call to Gibson verified that this is indeed in their records as genuine.
Could have at least wiped the 2 inches of dust off the headstock no
One of those Murphy Brown aged specialtiesRight and I can put a bogus serial number on any guitar also.
What did he say? He stated in his ad he called Gibson and they said it was real, lol.
