We had a similar shop that stocked Electra Phoenix, which I understand was made by Westone.I bought a Strat shaped one in late 1983, HSH with Fender-type trem. Still have that one too.

Since I'm the one that brought it up, here is my first guitar. It's in pristine condition except for a chip from an unfortunate hockey stick accident 1 week after I got it 30 years ago. Still bugs me to this day.

1982 Squier JV 57 replica. The very first Japanese "Squier" guitar. Kahler style tremelo that may be stock. Still researching it.

Yes sir, I sure do.

It is a '79 Fender Antigua Strat my dad bought for me when I proved I'd stick with learning to play the guitar.

Here's a pic of it:

I know exactly what you mean, back in 1979 my brand new acoustic I didn't have a stand for it or enough sense to lean it against the wall, I would lay it flat on the carpet when I wasn't using it until the day I knocked a radar detector off my bed table and put a gouge in my new acoustic within the first week. All these years later when I still see that gouge I'm mad at myself for letting that happen. That's the only damage on that guitar in almost 40 years!

Two firsts: my dad gave me his early 70's Gibson Blue Ridge acoustic before I could play guitar. I still have that one and it is in my will as going to my offspring (if I ever have a kid) or to my brother (who is way better than me at guitar).

The first electric guitar I ever bought was a 2006 Ibanez single-cut, LP style. The ARC100. Made in China, three hundred bucks, and it was a great guitar to learn on. I gravitated towards Gibsons, was thrilled at how much better the Gibson pickups sounded, and sold the Ibanez.

my 1st was a pasteboard acoustic dog with a missing tuning post. it was thrown out in the trash by my mother at some point. good riddance.

my 1st electric was a tiesco that, while i was in army basic training, probably got traded off for a pack of cigarettes by the guy who had possession of it. i knew next to nothing about guitars then, but i realize today that it wasn't too bad for what it was. i'd love to have it back, just for slide, if nothing else.

my 1st good guitar was an aria copy of a les paul special DC. i stupidly traded it off and have wished to have it back for about 40 years now.

Yes I do.
Late 60's/early 70's Ensenada (Made by Harmony for Montgomery Wards I believe). This was my mother school graduation present and she let me have it when I wanted to start to play.

Yep. Still got it. It was actually one of my brother's first guitars, and I acquired it from him for around £20 back when I was 16 lol. A Tanglewood Starfire (Les Paul Replica). I really should bring it back out for a strum some day.

My first electric guitar was a $25 Sears Silvertone Mosrite Copy:

I don't remember what I did with it, but it's been gone for about 40 years now. I then bought a Gibson L6S. I wish I still had it, but I sold it to purchase my '73 Strat. I've kept all my guitars since, beginning with that Strat. Here it is:

Yup. I have my red Ibanez RX20 hanging on the wall in my bar. I've had it for....19-20 years now. Still works. Here is a photo of it before the bar was finished and it lived in the guitar room in a gig bag.
