Do you play your Les Paul unplugged as much as plugged into an amp?

Hi all,
I was wondering how often you all play your Les Pauls unplugged? I have to be quiet after a certain hour in my house and I usually play unplugged especially if I'm sitting around watching TV. I realized that I probably play my LP unplugged as much as I do plugged in and I was just wondering if this was common among all you LP owners? Thanks, Jimmy

Nope - what i do is that i have an amp in the living room and turn that down to the point where i can just hear the amp over the strings.

When i watch movies on TV i am fortunate in that i live in denmark where subtitling is the norm, so that i can turn the volume of the movie even further down than the amp.
With the kind of movies i prefer nuance in voice performance isn't all that necessary. :laugh2:

It's not ideal, but i'd rather have a bit of the electric sound than an unplugged one...

I usually play unplugged for amps i currently have a marshall half stack and a 15watt line 6 combo i got free on side of road. Stack is usually too loud and line6 just is hot garbage

Not anymore. In the past when I practiced several hours a day I did, but since I'm just a hobbiest now I have an acoustic for the unplugged times. Anyway between several amps, an iPhone and an iPad plugging in isn't the big deal it used to be.

I plug into my Boss GT100 and put headphones on if I need to keep noise levels down. Play it unplugged often though.

most of the time I play unplugged but I spend more time learning than just playing.

prolly 50/50 but when plugged in i need to keep it low, as in a 1 on the 1 to 11 scale which works really but i honestly dont get to crank the hell out of it even in short bursts...i miss that

i believe plugged in as much as possible helps to keep your playing clean...you can slide over alot of missed notes unplugged, my opinion

No, but only because I will grab a semi-hollow or full hollow over an LP when not plugged in.

I personally hardly ever play it anymore. Its a keeper, but too heavy, unconfortable, but i love playing it when i do get it out.

I play unplugged frequently when I'm sitting and watching tv. Where most of my bands guitar riffs have started.

More, much more. Especially when writing.

Definitely for writing unplugged is the way to go.

I had let my skills deteriorate over the last couple years of mostly neglecting my playing, so now I do a lot of unplugged with a metronome just trying to clean everything up again.

+1. I have a number of Marshall amps. For quiet time I have a Tweed Deluxe clone that I can watch TV with or shake the walls with but I need some volume. I can't even play the hollow or semi-hollows unplugged.
