You're lucky becuase this has gotta be the Third Best Year to buy a Custom Shop Les Paul...First is 1959, Second is 1960 and Third is 2013 . The answer is YES!

I'd chose a '57 GT over a 2013 any time.

Now the trick is to turn up the volume so she leaves the house while you play , and not having the people next door call the police ......

It's a fine line ,but it can be done .

I try not to have too much redundancy in my guitar collection. Having two similarly equipped guitars is cool, more than that starts to approach mania.
If I were in your shoes and had an R7 & R8 I'd perhaps sell one to get the new one or buy the new one knowing I would sell the one I liked least out of the three. Or, what I'd do is keep the R7&R8, then go get a BB4 or BB7 as a change of pace.

Id wait for the 2014's to come out. Supposed to be even better with custom custom buckers. Then the prices on the 2013 will drop!
