The pickup I bought to put in the rhythm position of my telecaster did not come with any mounting hardware. I would like to body mount the pickup since the 5-screw guard did not come with mounting holes, nor do I like the look of it mounted to the guard.
What size and length screw do I need, and do I need springs/rubber tubing?

American or Mexican? Something weird like 5/64 like a inch long on American. I will check. I think a mexican might not have the holes. I prefer it mounted on the pickgaurd so you can dial in the sweet spot while playing instead of using a feeler gauge to factory specs and hope for the best. Then each time it is not right... got to take of the strings and pickgaurd again. Mims that have holes might be metric 2 of 3 mil.

You do not have to take off the strings for that.
