Deluxe 71-74??

Hello first time post here !! and wondering about a deluxe i just got.
its in a very very sad state and does not have the pots and has been re finished so the serial is not visible but it does have a mahogany neck so from what i have read on here its a 71-74.
Does anybody know when the different neck pickup rout changed with the different fitting plates and the square vs round cable channel Thanks from sweden

I have seen the round channel as early as 1974. Not earlier.

Hey Mud, did that round chanel 74 have original pots that could be dated?

I have never seen a 74 with a round channel (I don't think?) so I was wondering if it was really, really late 1974??

I have seen 74's with the square channel moved half-way between the 2 spots (the 1st, behind the tone pot, the 2nd where we see it today).....in a couple of different spots along the "lip" of the route. It seemed that the later in the year, the further up it moved.

It was not like they had it in 1 place and then, immediately moved it to it's final location.

Just useless info, but true.
