Sure an apple mac pro is great if you have $2,400 to spend
And the same could be said about Gibson...

Strat = Windows
Gibson = Mac

;)

EDIT: You could always go with an iMac. Think of it like an LP Studio :)

There are cheap Gibson Les Pauls as well as Cheap Strats
there are also some realy expensive Strats, i paid
more for my Strat than my Les Paul actualy
My Fender Eric Johnson Strat was $2,000 and my Les Paul
was $1,300

pay no attention i just like to argue hahaha

I didn't mean to imply Strats or Windows PCs are cheap, more that they're 'modular' while Macs and Gibsons are hermetically sealed ;)

But dagnabbit if the Gibsons and Macs don't look so much sexier...

Speaking as someone who used to work for Dell's tech support line, with us, if you phoned in with a problem, after a 5-15 minute chat to find the root cause of the issue, we'd have an engineer with a replacement part sent out to you the very next day. My department regularly had over 96% full customer satisfaction ratings, and the internal league generally ranged from an average of 85% to 100% satisfaction. We took a lot of effort in making you guys happy, and after I left the company, it was that level of service that made me buy a Dell laptop myself. Although I can only speak for the business-oriented side of the company, I would recommend them unreservedly.

Dell. Acer tend to be shocking sometimes, and HP's are overspriced imho. Had my XPS for over a year, still runs great. A solid laptop.

By the way, if you're ever around the Dennistoun area of Glasgow and you see the City Park building, wave. Second floor of that is where Dell's EMEA tech support lives. Wait around outside the first floor if you fancy a shag though. I don't think they hire male staff at whatever company that was, and all the birds look well tarted out.

I use this for school and recording.
Cost me $600 to build.

2 gigs of ram, dual core 2.4 processor, 250 gig, Windows 7.

Of course I built it 4 years ago, and its still truckin.
