Seriously wiping laugh-tears out of my eyes from reading the OP.

Any chance this is a clever way of saying they don't use real meat? In high school I had a friend who worked at a local pizza joint. He said the beef topping they used on their pizzas was labeled "beef flavored topping" on the boxes it came in. WTF is that? So it's not beef, it's just beef flavored? Maybe using the term beyond meat prevents them from having to put the word meat in parentheses, like - Come try the delicious "meat" in our burritos!

Now, if meat is so bad for you, and we should all avoid meat, then why in the fark does it make sense to make soybeans look like freaking meat.

Some say burgers are bad for you but yet they make a fake burger so Chad can eat a burger that ain't really a burger but looks like the evil meat burger.

I fail to see the logic in the need for making something, like soybeans, look like something else....

It's not steak. It's "Steak'um". It's not bad, that's a certain.

But "steak" is steak. No added suffix nor prefix.

Camps Beef steaks were like pierced, tenderized round steak, with a pat of butter on them. They had a steer on the cover to further the image. But it was steak. Very thin. but steak nonetheless.
