This month is a bit different. I pulled together a collection of tracks that were posted over the last 6 months. If you didnt have a chance to take a record on any of these previous jams, here is your chance. If you did them, Try a different guitar, take a different approach, look for something unexpected.

Fire up the amp, grab yer guitar, lets hear some stuuf, folks!

Here is the BTOM mantra:

If this is your first time, here are the guidelines.

What is it?
Every month I'll post a new backing track. It can be from any genre.
Download the track and record a solo over it.
Post your solo here along with what gear you used, recording equipment, and effects added. The more description you give the better.
I'm going to try and keep the backing tracks to under 2 minutes. Anything more is too daunting. Feel free to shorten it even more.
Try to get your recording in by the 3rd week of the month. We'll start over each month.
I'll take ideas on backing tracks so if you have a request, let me know.

Why do this?
Because it'll be fun!
I think this will be a great way to share ideas and see how each other interpret a piece differently. It will also be a good way to share recording techniques and receive overall feedback on our playing if we desire it.
This is NOT a competition!!!
Majority of people on here post great feedback in a helpful constructive way.

"But Bluto I'm scared!!!"
Look, I get it. Many of us are insecure about posting any of our own playing online. This is a safe place. I'm no guitar god. Keep it fun and I bet you'll learn a thing or two. If you're still unsure, read this: The Man In The Arena. Don't be that cold timid soul.

Great idea; I think I'm getting Studio One artist for Christmas so I'll give it a shot.

..my home is nearing rebuild after the microburst tore off part of my roof in August. So far $76,000 damage. Roof repair...dust , mold, drywall repair dust etc. All carpets destroyed No damage to my office/studio and especially none to my Yamaha Studio upright or any instruments or amps.
Have been busy with getting my home rebuilt and taking sure my 4 yr old grandson is OK (we are raising him).

Installing new stone laminate floors..rebuilding the interior walls.. One wall was pushed out 1" away from roof. Three rooms had roof lifted about same off home.

It has been more than difficult. I messed up my legs climbing onto roof during storm..with weeks in Wound Clinic then Vascular surgeon care.

difficult time..but all things can be fixed..

So IF I can remember how to play guitar again..I can do something.

1/3 of my furniture is in a 17' pod in the yard..since August..

A microburst is a mini tornado. The basketball backstop on a 3" diameter pole is flat to the ground.

So..maybe I can be back soon. Actually got my pretty basic recording things and amps up tonight.. It has been a long time since I played a guitar..drove my hot rods..or really enjoyed life much.

I went with the September BTOTB. It spoke to me - allows me to paint a canvas of music notes!

Using my 1958 - 2017 R8
Line 6 - Voltage Queen Setting
Reverb: Breverb2 - Overloud.

Enjoy the listen! Sorry for the late post!

May your rebuild go quick and with a bit of help from above! Sorry to hear that happened to you!
Glad to hear your studio gear was unaffected!
