Anyone know anything about these quilt top standards from 2018. Not one of their listed flavors available in the Gibson archives in 2018 or 2019.

That’s definitely different, have to wonder which dealer commissioned these guitars, interesting!

I’d like to know more about about them. Does Gibson randomly put these out when they come across some nice quilt maple? Did a dealer get them? How many did they make? All the questions I can’t find answers for.

I've never preferred the LP with a pickguard. Without is better for me. I like blue, I like quilted maple, there's nothing there not to like.

BUT...gotta be honest here. When it comes to fancy quilted and flamed tops with dyed finishes, PRS does it better than Gibson....or anybody else.

I'd like to see what would happen if a PRS top dyeing specialist were to go work in Gibson's custom shop and start doing PRS type dye jobs on Gibsons.

It is definitely a top you either hate or like. I think it's pretty sweet at first glance, but I think after a while, you might start to wonder why you purchased it. That's just me though, since I had one that at first, I was like in love with, then later wonder why I purchased it. Haha

Definitely going to be polarizing. For the right person this would be a dream top.
Personally, I have never liked any kind of figuring in the tops - I do also think it would look a lot better with a pickguard on it.

I’m all about the different stuff. This is definitely different.
