Daves' book was a good read. I also think Dave got screwed out of the Hall Of Fame..

Dave wrote/co-wrote - The Four Horsemen, Jump In The Fire, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Ride the Lighting, and Call of Ktulu. Hammett re-recorded some of his solos in a few of his songs on Kill Em All. As Lars told Dave you have to actually play on the recording to be inducted. I lost a lot of respect for Metallica because of the Napster thing and busting Jason balls about side projects which led to him leaving.

I was a fan of Metallica since '84. I saw them at Day on The Green in Oakland in '85. I thought they were the greatest band ever back then. But even then I didn't like Lars. He is one arrogant a$$hole, and I don't like his drumming.

I haven't really liked any Metallica since Cliff died. It just wasn't the same. AJFA & the Black album were ok....

I liked the first three Megadeth albums as well, and they have put out some newer songs I thought were pretty good too.

I love the first three Metallica releases. Brilliant. After that, they lost me until Death Magnetic which was the first Metallica I bought since AJFA.

Megadeth is a great band, and I love Mustaine's playing and attitude. I had/have all of the Megadeth's up until Youthanasia which I thought was awesome. Haven't heard endgame yet. And I really wanna get Dave's book.

And Dave shouldn't worry about getting kicked out of Metallica, his name itself is just as big as the whole Metallica lot.

I don't blame them. Jason wanted something different. He didn't really fit the band. You can't say that anyone having kids is screwing up. I feel no sympathy to Jason because his dedication to music leaves something out. Human experiences, like parenthood, further music. They allow deeper sight into the soul.

As I recall, Jason didn't have a problem with them having kids, he just wanted to keep playing music while Lars and James had their downtime. The others didn't want him doing anything else besides playing in Metallica, which led to him leaving the band (on top of everything else they made him go through).

You're terribly misguided on the facts. Jason was a fine bassist who didn't fit the band because the band wouldn't allow him to fit. For you to call into question his dedication to music takes some balls.

Has Kirk ever commented on Dave's claims on nailing his wife (then girlfriend) ?
It seems a bit unlikely since they (Metallica) were in NY and Kirk was in San Fran.
