could have been more.. considering he played the brick in the wall solo on this. probably many more but i mean, this is one of the most well-known songs in history.

His '58 Gretsch White Penguin sold for EXACTLY the same price. That makes me think there were the same two bidder's going at each other on those two guitars!

The good news is that the more money they get, the more money David will pass on to Charity because that is where all the proceeds are going.

As to the price of the GT, that isn't the end, you have to add on the freaking massive buyer's premium which goes to Christies.

Tunoeomatics were introduced on goldtops in 55. Not on the first of January though. Trapeze switched to wraparound in mid year as did goldtop to sunburst. Single cut to double cut juniors too
