hey guys, i was wondering if it's possible to age or darken the inlays on my fretboard. if so how?

also, i'm not sure what my inlays are exactly, but i have an Epiphone 2007 MIC Les Paul Standard, if it makes a difference.

thanks.

most folks use sunlight to tan the inlays  however if im not mistaken your epi has plastic inlays... so im not sure in your situation.... im sure someone will chime in though.

On my gold top project (which also has plastic inlays) I'll be scuffing them with some fine sand paper and using a dye to darken them down. I'll let you know how it goes.

nice, I'm curious how that turns out, maybe I'll do it myself on a LP copy of mine too, just to try out...

I think there 's a difference,
but not sure what exactly,
I thougt that pearloid is leftovers of the real MOP-plates,
pasted together...
little help from the real freaks? ;)
