That was a really nice tribute to your dad...I'm sure he's looking down from heaven, proud to have a son like you.

You have my sympathy. I lost my mother last week and know what you mean by wanting to celebrate his life. I know it's only been a week since she pasted away but I know I will think about her every day as I'm sure you will with your dad. I smile a lot remembering the wonderful times I spent with her and that is some thing time, death, or anything will ever take from me. Keep your head up and stay strong!

This is why I play as much as any outside influence, my Dad in 2008 with one of my Ovations.

Dan, remember all the good things, they haven't gone anywhere.

Awesome tribute to a great man! It sounds as though he heard the bulk of it before his passing, which is something we all hope to have the opportunity to do. Some don't get that chance before a loved ones death, so take comfort in that.

I'm sure that he's uber-proud to have you as son. I'm sorry to hear of your loss....

Treasure the memories Horse. I lost my Dad very unexpectedly in October 2005 (yes, it's that time of year again). Like you I have him to thank for my interest in guitars and guitar based music - jazz, classical, blues, rock - you name it. I lost my best friend, not just my Dad.

I know how you're feeling - although it must be a different grieving process for everybody. My sincerest sympathies to you and your family.

(It does get better btw).

Christmas is on us.......

The time of year that can bring many mixed emotions for many of us. I think its a time when you truely miss those you have lost, and remember them warmly and with love.

I have known so many people suffer losses this year alone, and I want to send peace, love and support to all who have lost loved ones.

Its strange, just watching 'White Christmas' with my lady brought back all the memories of xmas with my family and mum and Dad, it hit me like a ton of bricks, but most of all for mum, who is feeling so alone and sad this xmas.

To all who have lost, remember them with a smile and joy, they are always with you.

peace and love my friends.
