Customs are the best Les Paul’s

I like all Les Paul’s and own a few (5) but Customs to me are the best of all (I own 2)
What are your thoughts ?

I wholly agree! Though admittedly, I am a bit biased. If I could only have one, would be Les Paul Custom no doubt. I’m GASing for a white or wine red or silverburst one to pair with it. But really all Lesters are cool, customs just happen to be my favorite.

I freaking love that guitar of yours! If you ever lose an arm and need to sell it....

For me I've always preferred the classic styling of the Custom. Just something about those block inlays and the diamond on the headstock that I prefer over what you get on the Standard, including the R8 to R0 guitars.

You know, Vic, it's nothing personal, but whenever I see grown men moan about guitar weight, I remember Wata (Boris guitarist), a 5" Japanese woman who's been playing mid '80s Customs exclusively for the past 25+ years no complaints. But what do I know?

I have a shoulder injury that never quite healed right. I never used to care about weights… but three full sets with a heavy guitar fucks me up.

If I was in the market for another les paul, I would be looking at a mid 80s ebony custom from my birth year. They have so much damn mojo
