just curious have any of you guys measured the D.C. resistance on your custombuckers i just played a couple new R9's and one of them sounded a whole lot hotter than the other . my new R8 measures 7.86 in the bridge and 7.76 in the neck

The CB’s did vary by DC and also by coil offset depending on the model. I played a set of Beano CB’s and Page Buckers which were identical in DC but sounded vastly different because of the coil windings . i condirmed this with someone who worked in artist relations at the CS.

The Beano’s were smoother and a little more subdued to my ears where the Page buckers were more bright with a little more articulation, especially the neck pickup. The bridge definitely needs adjusting to suit your ears.

So the cb in a since are a little different from set to set kind of in the spirit of the original paf's . I know when I bought my R8 I tried about 6 R8's and R9's and they all sounded great just a little different

My 2019 (early '20 build) B7's pups are B-7.86 N-7.77. Sounds like they have standardized them some what. These are the best sounding stock pups I've had yet. They are bright and articulate but the guitar also has a Bigsby that I think ads that too.
