Custom-Fs with Cream and Nickel?

Happy Holidays all! Any Custom-F owners out there who swapped the plastics and HW from black/gold to cream/nickel? I'm a hack photo chopper so was hoping to see some pics and hear about after experiences. Is it considered taboo to do this to a Custom?

Cream and Nickel? Anyone? I know I could always spend the money and experiment but really would like to see one that has been done up this way. and make sure I dont upset the apple cart. I like it well enough the way it is expect the gold is kind of bright. So another option would be nickel hardware but keep the black plastic's.

Throw anything at this you wish! I open for all opinions and idea's.

Looks great as is, IMHO! Could always go with aged good hardware if you wanted to dull it up a bit.
