Well... My sister and 17-year old niece will be homeless tomorrow. They can't stay with my parents. She would steal their drugs, take their money, berate and abuse them, and try to run them out of their own house -- like she did with my grandma. Mom is heartbroken.

Great to hear it.

We used to have deeds of ownership for property here. The older ones are really cool - old parchment style things with proper copperplate writing and so on. Sadly they've done away with all of that now, so all we get is a computer record. Nice to have, but not something you'd want to frame and display.

It can't be helped. This is her own fault. She has abused and taken advantage of everyone who has tried to help. My parents offered her a place to stay, and she made all sorts of demands. They tried to find her an RV, and nothing was good enough. She brought this upon herself.

Saw a neato idea looking for waffle recipes.... season and smash some mashed potatoes in your waffle iron.

This is the kind of thing we used to get. Held by the lender until the house loan (called a mortgage here) was paid back. Showed the property boundaries and described the structure. Antiquated, but a nice piece of history to put on the wall to celebrate getting rid of the debt.

Was sitting at an intersection coming home from the shop this afternoon and noticed the temp on display had dropped a few degrees from low 50s to upper 40s. Hail started bouncing off the hood...about like #12 shot.... Green light, drove out on the four lane and outside temp went back up to 51º, hail stopped....

Weird....
