-368 degrees here. Ice storm last night.

Wife out of town visiting kids. Just me and dog.

To the store shortly for grub then hibernate.

A couple recent $299 snags with hard cases posted below.

I asked about a week ago about a very low watt tube head to sit on top of my Code combo. The DSL1HR seemed to fit the bill perfectly until someone kindly pointed out it's a 16 ohm output only. That won't work with my 8 ohm 10" Celestion Goldback. I'm looking for something I can drive at bedroom level. Effects loop would be good but not essential.

I can ask in the squalk box, but thought I'd try here first. Store availability here in the UK is rubbish so I'm likely to be buying unseen. I've read mixed reviews on the Bugera 5 watt. Any other suggestions or recommendations?

Tell me about the Washburn!

Washburn HB35

Picked off GC's used site for $299 with Washburn hardshell case a few weeks ago. The gold finish has worn off the bridge and pickups but other than that mint.

Semi-hollow maple body and neck with gorgeous flame top that pics don't do justice. Grovers, good pickups and hardware.

Have another HB35 pictured on left I bought used several years back and told myself if one in natural ever came up at a good price I'd grab it.

Tell me about the fireplace!

Haha... yeah that thing.

Fake fireplace. Made of plaster with a solid marble top.

Wife got it for free from a person that was moving long before I met her. It's a heavy beast.
No markings on it and we've researched and have never seen another one like it.

Might look good in that castle you're buying.

She has a thing for collecting stuff that weighs over ten tons including but not limited to...

An old ornate steam radiator from the office of an abandoned copper mine in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Took it to a auto body shop. Had it sandblasted and painted a copper color. So glad my job wasn't lugging those things around back in the day.

A three and a half foot tall solid cement Mr. Potato Head in the yard.

A solid cement fire hydrant pictured below that now has a coat of shiny red paint.
