The first time I saw Korina was back in the 80’s when someone had a 1982 Moderne with Natural finish.
Natural Korina and Limed Mahogany are my favorite finish colors.
Had a 2001 SG Standard Korina in the past.
My old wore out antiquated building is solid cedar on the inside. I’d hate to bid that today.Second half of the 1950's, blonde trim and furnishings were the in thing.
One would often see TV sets encased in blonde wood such as ash or other woods done in limed mahogany or other blonde wood finishes.
When I was a year old, mom and dad moved us into a brand-new tract home in 1959. The entire house was trimmed out in blonde ash. Big panel over the fireplace, book cases, giant folding doors separating the living room from the dining room, etc etc. Those with deluxe models had outdoor speakers on the patio hanging from high on the wall under the patio awning, blonde ash again.
All of it solid hardwoods.
I never gave it a second thought until I began in the building trade.
