This bridge pickup I have on my Tele is an eight dollar Chinee one.
Fender legit bridge, brass saddles.
The pickup's base plate is like a brass, and I was reading early Teles used steel, thus affecting the magnetic field, and making 'twangier.'
So's I take the $2.50 plunge and swap them out.
Old one is in left channel, on the chalkboard; new one on the right.
I don' theenk eet deed something.

I look at most guitars and think, "Hey, that's a nice one."

This one; I REALLY want to try it and hear it through my amps.

It sounds very clear and warm. The inbetween "out of phase" sounds at the second click on the five-position switch are right on the money. Strat sound. Excellent. You pull the volume knob up for a boost on the bridge pup.. Pushed down it's basic Strat, but nice. Very well balanced sound.
