Tribute Thursday..

This is Matt 2 years later in 2004.

The effects of the leukemia and chemo are showing on his face and hairline.

Then 2 years later in 2006 he would marry his girlfriend who stuck with him through it all, shortly before he died.

He would leave there that day a happy man!

My contribution to "Tribute Thursday" - the only half way reasonable photo that I could find on my phone... my best buddy Curly. Had to let him go at the end of May this year. He would have been 13 years old this fall.

Love that breed! So smart and usually gentle..

Ones I knew wore me out playing fetch when they were younger (I was too!).

I used to try to stump those dogs by throwing the ball into a wood pile or behind a fence or something to throw them off and give me a break..

Danged if they didn't figure it out like it was their only mission in life!

That's what I wanted when I'se a kid, a big dog to wrestle with.
My childhood pal, Butch. Too gentle to actually wrestle with. I vaguely remembering picking him out at the SPCA - think it was mutual.

He was already 5 or 6 when we got him and was with us for another 6 years. That is his happy content face.
